although sanskrit and hindi aren't the same language, they can be written with the same alphabet, which is devanaagarii.

thank you so much for the reply. i really appreciate your assistance. also, i am a little confused about the wording of your answer. is "devanaagarii" the word "crystal" or the name for the hindi alphabet? in the context i am assuming the alphabet.

the same word is used in hindi or sanscrit for the quartz crystal,

स्फटिक sphaTika

ph is pronounced like a "p" with an aspirate "h" not like a "f"
