WHat is the Mongolian word for charcoal?

Post by MikeChongbro »

My Mongolian cousin is struggling to send the word for charcoal. His broken English is getting better. I hope he passes TOEFL this year. Charcoal, very easy to understand why this word would be useful to know while traveling to Mongolia. I send him wikipedia link to help him know what substance I am trying to get a trans for.

Did you try to send him a picture?
Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.

Hi Mike
How do you want the word shown? In the Latin alphabet?
NeKresoa
negüresün
Or Cyrillic? Or transliterated into vertical script?
Are they really using charcoal much in Mongolia?
I would have thought they used peat?
Cheers

Oh wow Soljberg!
Oh no, not necessary for you to transliterate vertical script, naw. The translation I got from my Mongolian cousion is Xar nuurs for charcoal.
I heard about some boys from Mongolia that they still forge metals steel silver copper etc using traditional techniques. I am interested in witnessing the boys and their method.
Cyrillic is fine. Do you use a separate computer application to transliterate? If so which one and where can :jap: i get it?
