Hi, I need some help.
Could somebody please translate "free spirit" into Tibetan script?
I couldn't find anywhere. There is no context, it's just this expression.

I suppose 'spirit' means 'mind', and 'free' is an adjective, not an imperative.
So I suggest which is pronounced [rãŋ\ wãŋ sɛm/]

But I think the meaning is strange in Tibetan as mind is supposed to be linked to its own nature ; no one have the purpose to free the mind of its nature, it is simply impossible.

actually, "free spirit", as far as we know, does not have a litteral meaning. it means someone who is independent, and has the liberty to do everything (s)he wants (at a certain extent).
so, we think "mind" would not be a correct interpretation of the word "spirit".
could someone inform what "free spirit" means?

Thank you pc2, I understand what you mean. If it is this meaning, my translation is wrong as it was a litteral one. I will check how I can translate this 'free spirit'.
Anyway, if lou_yoga could tell me more about it, the translation should be more acurate.

Allow me to suggest "freethinker" perhaps one could use a construction like "pensaist"

I have read "free spirit" as meaning "independant", "unattached to other people or to imposed thinking". In this sense, it would be synonymous with "individualistic", "spontaneous". And, yes, "free thinker". Almost "candid" (but not "naïve")
