Can anyone translate the information on this postcard and tell me any thing about the card.

I have been told it is a Japanese New Year card. If anyone has any further information, I would be grateful.

Yes, the one on the second photo is the Japanese New Year card. And it's like a tradition to send them to people in Japan at the moment of the year.

There are addresses on both the botttom of card and the enveloppe so I won't transcribe them.
However, 恭賀新春 is the greeting used at the beginning of a new year.

Also, the characters above the dog drawing are 庚戌 (kanoeinu or koujutsu, "yang metal dog"), and they represent the forty-seventh year of the Chinese sexagenary cycle. The year coincided with the year 1970 and it will again in 2030.
