English-to-Tamazight translation

Post by Djaf-mess »

Hello everybody ! :D
I am new here. I am from Kabylia, Algeria. I would like to teach you some of my mother tongue, Tamazught. Notice that in Kabylia, we use the Greeko-latin alphabet, but in Morocco, we use a Berber alphabet.

1- Hello everybody. --> Azul γef yal yiwen
ⴰⵣⵓⵍ ⵖⴼ ⵢⴰⵍ ⵢⵉⵡⵏ
2- How are you ? --> (m)amek tellam ?
ⵎⴰⵎⴽ ⵜⵍⵍⴰⵎ ?
3- Where do you come from ? --> Anisa-k ? / Manis d-tuckat ?
ⴰⵏⵉⵙⴰ-ⴽ ? / ⵎⴰⵏⵉⵙ ⴷ-ⵜⵓⵛⴽⴰⵜ ?
4- I am from England. --> Nekk seg Ingliz. / Uckaγ-d seg Ingliz.
ⵏⴽⴽ ⵙⴳ ⵉⵏⴳⵍⵉⵣ / ⵓⵛⴽⴰⵖ-ⴷ ⵙⴳ ⵉⵏⴳⵍⵉⵣ.
5- I am English. --> Nekk d Inglizi. / Nekk giγ Inglizi.
ⵏⴽⴽ ⴷ ⵉⵏⴳⵍⵉⵣⵉ / ⵏⴽⴽ ⴳⵉⵖ ⵉⵏⴳⵍⵉⵣⵉ
6- Welcome to my country ! --> Ansuf yis-wen γer tmurt-iw ! / Ansuf yis-wen γ tmazirt-inu !
ⴰⵏⵙⵓⴼ ⵢⵉⵙ-ⵡⵏ ⵖⵔ ⵜⵎⵓⵔⵜ-ⵉⵡ ! / ⴰⵏⵙⵓⴼ ⵢⵉⵙⵯⵡⵏ ⵖ ⵜⵎⴰⵣⵉⵔⵜ-ⵉⵏⵓ

:salut:

It is a nice proposal... We had erstwhile berberian-speaking members, but they are not there anymore. Perhaps you would have more audience on the french-speaking forum :c-com-ca:

You could explain us the alphabet itself for beginning.

Be welcome anyway.
