Hønserøv

Hi
My brother and I were reminiscing some days ago, and he recalled that as a very young teenager he had visited a stone quarry in the vicinity of Rønne, where he had found a paving stone with the leftover from an uranium deposit that had colored the stone, so that the coloration got the name "hønserøv" colloquially.
"Hønserøv" means literally Hen's ass (i.e. cloaca)
I have hunted for a good translation, but have only come up with (radio haloes in rock, hen's ass(es) (literal translation), gadolinite deposit in rock)
I wondered if anyone here would know a good translation into English?
Thank you!
Cheers
