It would of been great if Iubito starts to teach us lesson by lesson his language. I have a small romanian-croatian course, but it's so dumb and boring.

All i have to say is that there is no present of the verb TO BE. That's all...you can guess now how's the rest of it.

Iubito, please, can you write us I am, You are, He she it is and so on? Vâ rog! :drink:

My native language is ... French :D

but for your question :
I am = (eu) sunt
You are = (tu) eşti
He is = (el) este or e
She is = (ea) este or e
It is, I suppose it's like He is...
We are = (noi) suntem
You are = (voi) sunteţi

Oh, sorry

I always thought you were from Bucarest. LOL

Nobody speaks it fluently here?

P.S. merci for writing it down

P.P.S.i was in Paris last summer.my friends and i were in some shop and we were paying something. Anyway, Americans were standing in front of us and the cashier said goodbye so one of them said (like...he speaks excellently french) merci [mrsi:] or for comparison just as well as English word MERCY. We were knocked down, laughing like wackoes. :D

He is = (el) este or e
She is = (ea) este or e
It is, I suppose it's like He is...
We are = (noi) suntem
You are = (voi) sunteţi
They are = (ei) sunt
According to my Assimil book, it should be :

I am = (eu) sînt
We are = (noi) sîntem
You are = (voi) sînteţi
They are = (ei) sînt

Here is a cool site to learn the bases of the Romanian language :

Hello!

I am a Romanian native speaker. (no French though)
First of all, Mamok, congratulations for your phrase in Romanian. It is 100% correct! Keep up the good job.

Secondly, It would be easier to install the Romanian keyboard for Windows from any Windows CD. Romanian has 5 special characters. Try:
[ ] ; ' \

Thirdly, there is no mistake in spelling (or saying) "Eu sunt" or "Eu sînt", "Voi sunteti" or "Voi sînteti". The "sînt"-root was preffered before 1993, when a spelling reform was initiated by the Romanian Academy and the Romanian Government, which prescribes that the root of the verb to be shall become "sunt" insetead of "sînt", on the one hand, and the replacement of all the letters " î " in the middle of the word by " â ".
Anyway, people use the "sunt" root in writing and the "sînt" root in speaking.

Good luck with learning Romanian! :drink:
