Translating an article for work and a couple words are throwing me. They are not in any on-line dictionary. The article is about a diesel truck that broke the land spped record in October. The words I am having trouble with are:
aker (the a has .. over it)
trailerdragare
Manga (the a has a circle over it)
gatkord (the o has .. over it)
koras (the o had .. over it)
any help would be appreciated. Have one more article to figure out after this!

Hello, I'm studying swedish as a third language, I can help you with some of those:
åker = to ride (i.e. bus, car, train, truck) but not a bicycle. I'm not sure what äker means, i think you mean åker though.
trailerdragare = ome on does this really baffle you ? it's a Trailer Dragger !
många = many
gatkörd = ?? gata is a street, maybe thats somthing to do with a street ?
köra = drive (imperative)
hope that helps in time.

Well äker is not a real word. Åker though can mean both to ride or mean field (as in arable land). It's true that åker cannot be used on a bicycleAnonymous wrote:Hello, I'm studying swedish as a third language, I can help you with some of those:

I must say I never heard of such a word! And I can't think of a better explanation either... But please note that just gat would not mean anything.Anonymous wrote:if im right, the gatkört means "street driven"
