Please help with these English --> French phrases :)

Hello everyone,

I am completing another translation assignment and I have a few questions. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out. The words/phrases in bold are the ones that I'm having trouble with.

1. Sit down, grandpa, you <b>must not tire yourself</b>.

2. Good! I hope that <b>you are going to catch some fish!</b>

3. At last her daughter had gone and the widow <b>had sat down alone by the fire</b>.

4. First, she prepared a cup of tea. Then she put on her spectacles, picked up the newspaper and <b>said to herself</b>:....

Is 'she said to herself' the same as "she thought to herself" or does it mean that she thinks aloud like "she talked to herself"?
Could you write the end of the last sentence (what does she say to herself?)

Sure - the complete sentence is:

Then she put on her spectacles, picked up the newspaper and said to herself, "what is there on the television this evening?"
