The only one

Post by Maïwenn »

Imagine that all songs were to be erased, and that you could save only one. Which one would you choose ? (a song in English)

I think I would rescue "Sound of Silence" (Simon & Garfunkel).

And that would even be very ironic, considering the spooky silence that would follow the dramatic loss of all those songs...

"Atlantic" by Keane. Wonderful lyrics and beautiful music.

I didn't mean erasing songs from a laptop, but from the whole world.

That's an awfully hard question to answer.
I love many English songs. The song that I've heard (and played it over a million times) recently is quite old but I like it very much, so I'd probabely pick it.

It's : I'm still standing, Tom Jones.

It's very hard to pick only one song, but I would go for "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zep.

I would choose With or without you, by U2.

"Always look on the bright side of life" by Monty Python.

(There must be a bright side even if there are no songs anymore...)

DM's "Enjoy the silence" would be a good joke, too. ;)

Rosmarys Baby by Fantomas.
Or maybe Stereo by Brassmunk.
...Oh yeah, I'd go with Stereo.

Hi boulevard
That would mean that you have played it incessantly for at least 6 hours a day since it came out on record in 1983.
You must know it by heart then :-)
Cheers

I would choose "While my guitar gently weeps", "Something" or "Here comes the sun". All songs by George Harrison (The Beatles).

I would choose a peice of classical music - something like The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan William.
