help me find the meaning (english)

Post by Koorosh »

hi...

please help me find the meaning of the following sentence :
Did I ever fail to speak my mind when I felt strongly about something, and then later feel resentment?
"feel strongly" is unclear to me.

if possible state it in other words .

My best way to explain it ... felt strongly about something

strong belief about something
Large belief about something
personal thoughts/beliefs are very important about something

Hope that helps :)

another way of saying "to feel strongly about something" is "to have powerful emotions about something"

usually it's used when the person is AGAINST something

thank you both.

and what about "speak my mind" ?
does it mean "express myself" ?
or " state my opinions explicitly" ?
or what?

My thoughts, in the context of this sentence, yes your ...
"state my opinions explicitly"
would be the way I would read it.

Hi Koorosh
The sentence leaves me wondering towards whom he feels resentment?? ( and how strong that feeling of resentment is :-) )Feel strongly → be passionate about i.e. loves/hates
Cheers
