LW/MW greek radio

Post by damiro »

Hi everybody,

I've been looking for a LW (orMW) greek radio which could be listened from a classical portable radio device for months...

Seeing I do the research on google in French or in English, I can't find satisfying results...

Could you please help me doing this research on the search engine you prefer (in greek if you can [Anthos, Caroline, Kokoyaya, Sisyphe(?)], or in your own language [maybe you'll find something interesting]).

It would be great to find a LW frequency (because when I'll be in Tunisia, I'd really like to listen t a greek radio).

Many thanks in advance,

Damiro :hello:

I used to listen to ‘Voice of Greece’ – this is a station for all Greeks on the planet. I remember they used to say ‘Good Morning America, Good day Europe, Good evening Australia’.

Here is the link – it’s on short wave and also, i just learnt, medium wave (I imagine that medium wave is only for listeners in Greece. It’s only short wave that can travel).

The quality of the broadcase varied according to meteoroligical conditions like all short wave broadcasts but it was very 'listenable'.

Hope this helps.

Hi Damiro

There's nothign to deal with.

It just seems that at any one time, there can be up to four broadcasts on different wavelengths. This is probably because SW broadcasts are so influenced by environmental conditions. If one frequency doesnt sound good, you go to another one.

WIth 9420, you can have near continous coverage.

Bye
