Post by bambino »

Hello, bok

hm.....or for those who can understand it as well...

Tko god želi može doći na forum od filozofskog fakulteta u Zagrebu. Stranica jest: http://forum.ffzg.hr/

Sve u svemu, to mi je najdraži forum, naravno i ovaj je dobar, ali tamo ljudi ipak govore sa sigurnošću, to im je struka, pa valjda znaju što govore. Ima puno tema, svi jezici....

Dođite!!!

Ok...i see nobody replied it cuz it's in Croatian.
I'm sorry...

Well, i won't translate it becuse I wrote about other Croatian forum, as well about languages, but it is in Croatian, so nobody would understand a word. Maybe the Slavs.

BUT ;) I was thinking, i could teach Croatian here. Everybody are invited and welcome. But first, I'd like to see who wants to learn it. I hope there will be some guys who want to learn my native language.

I will start as soon as you reply me. We'll start from the very begin, the Croatian alphabet.

Are Ć and Đ a voiceless/voiced corresponding pair? Are they a (softened) t/d + y, or rather a (softened) ch/j + y including a (softened) sh/zh ?

Bernadette, nema na čemu (you're welcome)

Olivier: well, you're right.

Ć is softened č and t
Đ is softened dž and d

J incluided (no Y in Croatian). That vocal change is called "Jotacija". As you can see in the name, the sound J is put in after some letters.

So if you have t+j=ć; k+j=č; d+j=đ; z+j=ž etc...

If you have some suggestions or if you wanna learn something else, please tell me. I'd be happy to help you! :hello:

VERBS

In Croatian 90% of verbs end in -ti (infinitive), and the rest in -ći

For instance: biti, imati, pjevati, umrijeti etc....and on the other hand ići, otići etc...

Present sufixes are:

singular
-m

-%
plural
-mo
-te
-ju

IMATI (to have)
imam, imaš, ima, imamo, imate, imaju

PJEVATI (to sing)
pjevam, pjevaš, pjeva, pjevamo, pjevate, pjevaju

but HTJETI (to want) also auxilliar verb for making future tense
hoću, hoćeš, hoće, hoćemo, hoćete, hoće or
ću, ćeš, će, ćemo, ćete, će (this for is for making future tense)

ZVATI SE (to say the name; call somebody)
zovem se, zoveš se, zove se, zovemo se, zovete se, zovu se

For example: Zovem se XY (my name is XY)

When you use pronoun, then it is ja SE ZOVEM xy, but without pronoun it is: ZOVEM SE xy. (Look at the order of the reflex verb)

REGARDS:
informal:
bok (hi), zdravo (hello)
formal:
dobro jutro (good morning)
dobar dan (good afternoon)
dobra večer (good night)

When you're leaving you can also say bok (informal)
(formal): doviđenja (goodbye)[/i][/b][/u]

What a nice way to learn Croatian ! It may be a good idea to learn a
language. Each two or three days, there's a course and «students» ask
their questions to the «teacher». It is only an idea...

Your last course seemed hard for the students, no ? There is many
countries in that. Bambino, you're a serious teacher.

Am i teaching only you and Bernadette?
