English to Latin needed

Post by Malang »

I've got a real latin dictionary book but, as usual, it doesn't have any information about forming sentences. I have studied enough in net to form some simple ones but this goes straight over my head; "and then there was silence" in Latin would be appreciated.

:nono: postquam silentium fuit = after/when the silence arised

and then there was silence
Tunc fuit silentium

Gratias tibi ago, Sisiphe!
Vale!!!!

I need to know how to write "Boy Scout Troop 23" in Latin. Our council is having Greek-Roman Games weekend Oct 1-3 and our unit is in the Roman camp. We thought it would be neat to identify our troop in Latin with Roman numerals. Any help as quickly as possible would be appreciated.

Thanks
