Non,"issue" veut dire "problème".

Il ne me semblait pas que 'issue' veuille systématiquement dire 'problème' mais plutôt une question, un sujet à débattre.

This cannot be correct because, in some cases, subject is related to academic matters but it is not the case here : it is more general with the meaning of matter, topic, issue.

Perhaps 项目would be better

subject really means a lot diffrent things and it really depends.but now here we dunno waht she refers to.

I agree with domanlai- "That's a very interesting issue" is a good translation, although it implies some debate about the topic.
In Russian: Это очень интересная тема. ("Eta ochine interyesnaya tyema")
