Salut ! Hi !
J'ai du mal à traduire correctement ce texte, pourriez vous m'aider ? (d'anglais à français). J'ai fais une traduction approximative et j'aurais voulu savoir ce que vous auriez mis.
Already several companies have had to strain the lexicon to pare payrolls without firing anyone. IBM planned to shave its US workforce by 10000 in 1990 through selective hiring and two "volontary incentive" programs that gave as mus as two year's salary, health benefits and retraining to employees who let the firm.
Businesses like Delta air lines which have weathered downturns with no lay-off practices intact have received as much as they given.
When soaring fuel prices and a sluggish economy forced DELTA to curtail flights in the early 70, pilots pitched in to handle baggage.
And when fare wars decimated profits in 1983, flights attendants staged a fund-raiser to buy a 40 million dollars jet. "We had a whatever it takes approach", explains Delta spokesman Neil Monroe.
