Cooked yourself up(?) a(?) feed(?)
I think I would say "Cooked yourself some food"
Therefore I have some questions:
Is "up" used commonly in this form?
How is "some" replaced by "a"? I think "a" is not used with items that you don't count. (The speakers are simple country people, maybe it is used in such language?)
Can "feed" be used as a noun? I thought it's only a verb...

The normal way of saying it would be "cooked yourself some food", but "cooked yourself up a feed" might just be fairly particular to New Zealand… or just colloquial in general, though I'd never heard it used this way before.

As for your questions,
There is also the verb "cook up" which basically means the same thing as "cook", but I think it has more of a sense of preparation gone into the food and not merely heating it...

The word "feed" can be used as a noun for things such as cattle feed, chicken feed, animal feed etc, so actually more for animals it seems... it's not normally used to mean regular food.

I think usually you'd also say "some feed" (like you would "some food") when talking about feed in the usual context, but here since it sounds like they actually mean a meal, they've used "a". I'm not sure you can analyse it too much, it might just be that way because it is :c-com-ca:

Another possibility is that I've misheared what they said in the video, but I'm pretty sure I heared it right!

Hopefully someone else can try clarifying.

Hey, I'm a NZ-er, and yes, "cooked yourself up a feed" is just a colloquialism, specific to NZ I think. It means thats you cooked yourself a meal. Don't take this sentence as an example of English grammar though, its just slang.
