J'ai besoin d'un petit coup de main pour traduire cette phrase, issue de Wikipedia De

Butanal wird zur Herstellung von Vulkanisationsbeschleunigern, Kunstharzen und Weichmachern benötigt. Es ist Grundlage synthetischer Gerb- und Riechstoffe.

La chimie (surtout en allemand) n'est pas ma spécialité, mais je vais essayer de t'aider...
Herstellung : production
Vulkanisationsbeschleunigern : accélérateur de vulcanisation
Kunstharz : résine synthétique
Weichmarcher : plastifiant
Grundlage : base
Gerben : tanner
Riechstoff : hum riechen, sentir, et stoff : substance - substance odorantes (?)
Alors voilà ma proposition :
le butanal est nécessaire à la production d'accélérateurs de vulcanisation, de résine synthétique et de plastifiants. C'est la base des "substances tannantes" et odorantes.
Je ne trouve pas de meilleure traduction pour la deuxième phrase.
