Correction devoir anglais
Posted: 31 Dec 2009 16:15
Bonjour, j'ai deux sujets à traiter en anglais, j'ai essayé de les faire mais certaines phrases me semblent très maladroites ! Quelqu'un pourrait-ils corriger mes erreurs ? Merci d'avance !
Sujet 1) Does popularity depend on what you have ?
First of all it depends on what means the word "popular". In my opinion the word "popular" means the fact to be liked or admired by many people that's to say to be well-known by a favourable way by a large part of the population ( être connu d'une manière favorable par une grande partie de la population ). So here the popularity doesn't depend on what you have but on what you have done. For exemple nun Theresa was very poor but famous because of her acts. For others, the word "popular" can just mean the fact to be famous by possessing a lot of money like Paris Hilton and her line of luxurious hotels she inherited from her parents. In this case ( dans ce cas ? ) popularity depend on what you have. Others persons are popular because they act negatively on the society (dicators, extremists..). Here again ( je sais pas dire "Là non plus" ) popularity doesn't depend on what you have.
Sujet 2) What is your idea of a prestigious job ?
In my opinion a prestigious job would be a job that I absolutely enjoy and want to do during my life. It doesn't matter social status or money earned per hour or per day. If I enjoy it and love it, it's a prestigious job for me ! It can also be a job which make me dream or which I admire. This job must imply a large responsability towards the planet and her inhabitants.
I'm convinced that a prestigious job isn't a job which makes you famous and rich, it's a job which is working for people's good ( qui oeuvre pour le bien des gens). As far I'm concerned, the job which would be for me "prestigious" is the trade of doctor whithout borders. They impressive me a lot ! By thinking about it ( en y réfléchissant bien ?), it seems to me that to define a prestigious job is a way to be an elitist. We should view all jobs on an equal playing field because all are very important.
Toutes autre idée est la bien venue ! Merci !
