-> le nom scientifique du lierre courant est : Hedera helix. Pour plus d'info : http://www.aujardin.info/plantes/lierre.php
-> En ancien français le mot est "ierre" (<hedera), mais comme on écrivait "lierre" = *l'ierre (l'apostrophe n'existait pas) ; mais le mot a été mal coupé ensuite.
Grec ancien : ο κισσός [o kissos]]
Espéranto : hedero
Latin : hedera, ae f
