Many languages are spoken by South Africa's population. These languages represent the country's cultural diversity. Even if the inhabitants have adopted many Western ..., their languages, their music forms, and songs are stayed cultural traditions. A little South African fusion of cultural forms, African and Western, has changed.
At University, I have two very good friends from South Africa. Last year, my friends decided to get married during the summer in Johannesburg, their home-town. As I'm a very good friend of theirs, I was invited to the wedding. I'm not have a job because I'm a student. I did not think I could possibly afford the trip since the flight was very expensive. So I managed to go to Johannesburg and attend their wedding.
My parents were thrilled when they heard I was invited to stay in South Africa contrary to I thought : they would like me to go on that trip. On the one hand, they paid for my flight. So that, they were extremely happy to contribute to this trip. Thus, I decided to give them a nice present.
On the other hand, I came back with a film I made with all the people I et and all the places I visited for I did not buy souvenirs.
Now, they want to go there too. merci pour votre aide[/code]

I do not understand
'A little South African fusion of cultural forms, African and Western, has changed.'
I did not follow your train of thought for the last two paragraphs and have reworded a bit. They seemed a bit wordy. However perhaps you could say why you did not expect your parents to be thrilled. Also I wasnt sure of what your were trying to say with 'on the one hand...on the other hand'.

Maybe we could instead say
I met two South Africans, and we became very good friends.
Vu que les deux autres se sont devenus des bon potes aussi (au point de se marier)
