English to Latin

This is a quote from Chuck Palahniuk's novel
"Diary." It is claimed in the novel that it was coined by Plato, but since
the novel is fiction, I don't know if it actually was. Either way it was a
beautiful quote and I just wanted to see if I could get it translated into
passable Latin.

"He who approaches the temple of the Muses without
inspiration in the belief that craftsmanship alone suffices will remain a
bungler and his presumptous poetry will be obscured by the songs of the
maniacs."

If anyone could find out whether it is legitimate,
that would be apprectiated; I certainly wasn't able to find any
confirmation on a forum or such medium. I just think that it is a very
poignant observation at any rate. I also don't have any experience with Latin in order to attempt a translation myself. Also, if it is too much to tackle, I certainly understand. Thanks.

Anyway, It looks like Plato, indeed. If that quotation actually is extracted from some Plato's word, I could try to find whence it comes, and what it is in ancient greek.

For latin, just wait a moment, please. I have to check for that I correctly understood the text

(les frenchies , est-ce que vous pourriez me confirmer la traduction, SVP : "celui qui/quiconque approche du temple des muses sans inspiration, croyant que la connaissance technique/savoir-faire <du poète> est à elle seule suffisante restera un bon à rien, et sa poésie présomptueuse sera obscurcie par le chants des fous" (??? ).
