In Irish (i don't fully agree with the first answer that has been given before...)
to one people:
cárb as tú ? (the long strokes were missing on cárb in the first answer)
cárb as duit ?
(pronounce respectvely "kuh-rub ISS too" & "kuh-rub ISS dij" in Donegal Irish)
to many people:
cárb as sibh? (kuh-rub ISS shiv)
cárb as daoibh ? (kuh-rub ISS deev)
Or in faster speech:
c'as tú ? (<cá as tú?) (kuss too)
c'as sibh? (<cá as sibh?) (kuss shiv)
In Scottish Gaelic:
Cò às a tha thu? (to a friend or a younger person) (kaw ass uh ha oo)
Cò às a tha sibh? (to someone u don't know or to several persons) (kaw ass uh ha shiv)

In Dutch (The Netherlands): Waar kom jij vandaan?Plumppy_ wrote:Dear friends,
I would like to know how to say "where do you come from?" in many languages. If possible, send me as an attached file the way to write it in case it uses a different alphabet.
Thanks a lot. I am looking forward your answers. Cheers,
Marco

So you are saying that Brasilian portuguese is not "correct"... Then te whole of american nations speak "incorrectly", and european regional dialects are also "incorrect"... right?...sorry, that is a stupid and unfair judgement...Sanya wrote:Serbian:
1. non-formal: Odakle si? (Одакле си)
2. formal: (Одакле сте Ви)
By the way, Bambino's answer of portuguese is not quite right. He gave a brasilian version. Correct portuguese is:
1. Donde és? non-formal
2. Donde é? formal
In Argentina: ¿De dónde venís?, or ¿De dónde sos?
en Albanais
in Albanian, "Nga je?"
Nga vjen?
Nga vjen?
