Bonjour,
Pourquoi dit-on fibre optic pour fibre optique, et non pas optic(al) fibre, qui intuitivement me semblerait plus logique ?

De ce que je comprends, "fiber optics" est la partie de l'optique qui passe par les fibres du même nom et "optical fiber" est le matériel.

Aha ! Merci pour ce début d'explication. Je reste quand même toujours gênés par l'absence de S à optic chez Virgin dans toutes ses pubs pour son offre de fiber optic en Angleterre...
