Bob Ho est un super agent secret de la CIA qui décide d’en finir avec sa carrière dans l’espionnage pour s’installer avec sa voisine d’à côté, Gillian. Mais Bob doit remplir une dernière mission avant que Gillian accepte de l’épouser : conquérir ses trois fils opiniâtres. Quand Gillian doit subitement quitter la ville, Bob se propose de garder les enfants afin de gagner leur approbation. Mais quand l’un d’eux télécharge malencontreusement une formule top-secrète de son ordinateur, l’ennemi juré de Bob, un terroriste russe, en profite pour frapper, obligeant Bob à jongler entre le rôle d’espion et celui d’hypothétique beau-père, pour la mission la plus éprouvante de sa carrière. Bob demande à Colton James, son partenaire, de l’aider, mais il n’est pas sûr de pouvoir se fier à Colton.
