1/ White people thought blacks were non-identities.
Black were considered by the whites as people having non identities

2/It would be preferable to go.
He'd

3/Why didn't Dr Copeland leave before?
Dr Copeland should have left before.

4/It was a long wait, yet Dr Copeland didn't give up.
However long the wait was.

5/It was impossible for Dr Copeland not to fight back.
Dr Copeland couldn't not fighting back

Merci de m'aider[/u]

no identity plutôt, non ?

2/It would be preferable to go.
He'd better go

3/ OK

4/ OK

5/ Dr Copeland couldn't help fighting back

A votre avis oui?

Blacks (...) no identity (exact, kokoyaya) ; si tu ne peux pas ajouter d's à Black, alors c'est "Black people" que ton prof attend peut-être. Autre suggestion :
Black people were considered by the Whites as people with no identity.

Elody wrote:3/Why didn't Dr Copeland leave before?
Dr Copeland should have left before.
idem : OK
Elody wrote:4/It was a long wait, yet Dr Copeland didn't give up.
However long the wait was.

Dr Copeland couldn't not fighting back
OK avec la proposition de kokoyaya ; je pense que tu as confondu la répétidion "'nt" et "not" en tapant...

Voilà !
Bon travail !
:hello:
