Bonjour, j'ai résolu une petit exercice mais je ne suis pas du tout sure de moi et il ya une phrase que je n'arrive pas à reformulé.
L'exercice demandé de reformuler sans changé le sens et en utilisant les débuts de phrase proposé.
1/ White people thought blacks were non-identities.
Black were considered by the whites as people having non identities
2/It would be preferable to go.
He'd
3/Why didn't Dr Copeland leave before?
Dr Copeland should have left before.
4/It was a long wait, yet Dr Copeland didn't give up.
However long the wait was.
5/It was impossible for Dr Copeland not to fight back.
Dr Copeland couldn't not fighting back
Merci de m'aider[/u]

Re: Exercice de reformulation en anglais
Blacks (...) no identity (exact, kokoyaya) ; si tu ne peux pas ajouter d's à Black, alors c'est "Black people" que ton prof attend peut-être. Autre suggestion :Elody wrote:1/ White people thought blacks were non-identities.
Black were considered by the whites as people having non identities
Black people were considered by the Whites as people with no identity.
En anglais, les répétitions sont moins prohibées qu'en français.
d'accord avec kokoyayaElody wrote:2/It would be preferable to go.

idem : OKElody wrote:3/Why didn't Dr Copeland leave before?
Dr Copeland should have left before.
, Dr Copeland stayed (ou waited ou remained). (manquait donc la fin de la phrase, mais le début est parfait !)Elody wrote:4/It was a long wait, yet Dr Copeland didn't give up.
However long the wait was.
OK avec la proposition de kokoyaya ; je pense que tu as confondu la répétidion "'nt" et "not" en tapant...Elody wrote:5/It was impossible for Dr Copeland not to fight back.
Dr Copeland couldn't not fighting back
Voilà !
Bon travail !
