une phrase en anglais qui me pose problème

Bonjour, j'aimerais savoir si cette phrase est correcte:
It can't have been easy. It demanded paintstaking attention and took them much time. They had worked at it excitedlythough.
Merci de bien voulor me dire si sa veut dire quelque chose.

Oui, ça vient bien dire quelque chose
En gros ça donne ça :
Ca n'a pas pu être facile. Ca demandait une attention appliquée (un peu redondant peut être ?) et leur a pris beaucoup de temps. Pourtant ils y avaient travaillé avec entrain.

Le mot, c'est "painstaking" (sans le premier "t").
Le début de la phrase me semble bizarre cela dit
Tu veux dire quoi ? (Plutôt : "it couldn't be easy", "ça ne pouvait être facile"... Je sais pas
)
"To demand", dans ce cas-là, c'est plus "exiger" que "demander".
"excitedly though" en 2 mots.
(En fait c'est pour vérifier ta traduction ou traduire un texte ?)
