Hi Laura,

The link is still available (i just tried), you just have to choose the language of your text and the one you want it translated into and click on "find a translator".
Then you'll have a list of all the translators you can contact.
Does it work now?

QUESTION

Post by LAURA »

HI SERENITA,
THANK YOU!
WHAT IF THE TEXT I NEED TO CORRECT IS IN ENGLISH? WHAT STEPS DO I HAVE TO FOLLOW.

I'M NOT AN ENGLISH NATIVE SPEAKER, SO I WOULD BE GLAD TO SUBMIT MY TRANSLATION TO SOMEONE WHO CAN DETECT ERRORS OR WORDS WHICH DO NOT SOUND WELL, BETTER THAN ME.

THANKS AGAIN

1) Press the Shift key: on internet, writing in upper-case means that you shout.

2) If you just need an English native speaker to proof-read a text already written in English, just choose English as target language and whichever language you want as source language.
Read the descriptions and choose the translator that best fits in you opinion.

Hi Laura

Please stop SHOUTING. It gives kokoyaya a headache.

I guess:
. if nobody else minds, and
. the source text was in French, and
. the text conforms to the site rules,

I could do the correction. Being native UK English speaker. Just send to the email in my Profile.

BTW: I'm not the only UK native. You could choose someone else by reviewing the summaries of the online translators in either the French to English, or vice-versa, categories.

Regards

Chris

P.S.: Sorry, kokoyaya & Serenita replied as I was writing...

Why are you sorry? Posting the text to be proof-read is a good idea: she would have the opinion of several native speakers..

I didn't know that writing in block letters meant I was shouting. sorry for the offense!!!!

Please, Kokoyaya, don't be so categoric. Sounds a little bit harsh to me.

Thanks to Chris. If you offer to help me, I would mail the text to you.

Just let me know,
BYe, hope to hear from you soon!
