Re: British English to American English Tarnslations

I'm confused, your title says BE to AE but your question asks for BE synonyms?
Re: British English to American English Tarnslations
In any case, many of these words have similar meanings and I think can be used both in America and over here in the UK. But I have to admit, I didn't even know what some of them meant

Anyway, I found these on a synonym site :
vixen, harpy, hellcat
virago, amazon
shrew, termagant...
wench, bird, chick, dame, doll, skirt (quite American words)
tomboy, hoyden, romp
androgyne, epicine, epicine person, gynandromorph, hermaphrodite
termagant, shrew...
tough guy, bruiser, plug-ugly
hero, champion, fighter, paladin
Hope this helps

Aren't archiasms and colloquialisms in the English language British in origin? What about Old Englsih and Middle English?
Are "rantipole" and "brimstone" British words?
What British arcahims and colloquialisms and OLd and Middle English synonyms are there for: tomboy, tough girl/woman, termagant, virago, and vixen?
