Post by tmacd73 »

Can anyone translate english into gaelic?

If you can please help:

I need a gaelic word for a male warrior/chieftain someone of blood who is honorable.

also the following phrases:

- Was blind but now I see

- In valor there is hope

- Only the strong survive

- For he that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother

Thank you ....all help is appreciated

Do you need Scottish or Irish Gaelic???

For the warrior name, be more precise, ask me to translate something, rather than asking me to imagine something...

- Was blind but now I see =

(Irish) Bhí mé dall ach chím anois.
(Scottish) Bha mi dall ach chì mi anìse.

- In valor there is hope

(Irish) Tá dóchas sa laochas
(Scottish) Tha dòchas anns a' ghaisge

- Only the strong survive

(Irish) Ní mhaireann ach na daoine atá láidir.
(Scottish) Cha mhair ach na daoine a tha làidir.

- For he that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother

(Irish) Óir is é mo dheartháir an fear a chailleas fuil in éineacht liom.
(Scottish) Oir is e mo bhràthair am fear a chailleas fuil còmhla rium.
