Translation of a Latin sporting club motto to English

Hi,

I hope someone can help me. I have a sporting club motto that is (I think) in Latin and I would like to know the English translation.
The motto is: in meloria contendimus

Is "Meloria" a geographical name ? Because it doesn't exist in Latin. It probably was "meliora"; then it would mean :
We are competing in better things.

or contendo "compete" meaning "strive to get to":
we try to get to better (results), we want to do better
