1.People think the government will fall
It is thought that the government will fall
(‘It is thought by the people that the government will fall’ is also correct but ‘It is thought’ covers the sense of people )

2 We appointed Mr Hvans secretary.
Mr Evans was appointed secretary
(‘by us’ at the end is correct but sounds strange)

3. The villagers called lie a witch.
Lier was called a witch by the villagers

8 Everybody considered her strange.
She was considered strange by everybody.

H) They say lie is somewhcre in Germany.
Lie is said to be somewhere in Germany .
(Same point :
‘It is thought by them that the government will fall’ is also correct but ‘It is thought’ covers the sense of ‘They’)

==

Have another try for the others. Some hints:
- Changing to passive tense does not mean going from present to past !
- When you convert the active to the passive, the original subject becomes optional (to include the subject you add ‘by’).
