I am not Scottish, but rather Irish Canadian. Scots Gallic and Irish Gaelic are closely related. However, I believe this passage is written in vernacular Glaswegian English, replete with a load of local slang thrown in for good measure! I do not know what “fat” refers to here, but “ken” is commonly used to mean “to know” or “to understand”. Essentially, your man is challenging someone to get down from his or her ivory tower, in order to learn something! Try reading the paragraph aloud, pronouncing each word phonetically, while affecting an over-the-top Mr. Scot (“Beam Me Up, Scotty!”) accent. You will hear what I mean. Sounds like something from an Irvine Welsh novel. Hope this helps. Seán.

This is indeed not Gaelic, it's Scots, which is incidentally trying to get itself recognised as a minority language by the Scottish Parliament. It's spoken in most non-Gaelic areas (with plenty of history behind it). It may not necessarily be Glaswegian, but I cannae tell. Most likely some Ned from any scummy part of urban Scotland (read Trainspotting), it may not even be proper Scots (for proper scots see Robert Burns). Roughly it says:
Ach, go away, who the fuck are you calling fat? You wouldn't know fat if it came and hit you on the head shouting 'fat' in your ear. I'll give you fat and no mistake, just you come over here and out of your ivory tower and I'll teach you (meaning I'll beat you up) Got it? don't mess with someone like me or you're going to get yourself beaten up.
