Bonjour à tous et à toutes,
Je ne sais plus comment on dit l'heure en anglais. Pouvez vous m'éclairer davantage sur les zones en rouge? Merci d'avance.
I did my work experience, from November 7th to December 17th 2005, in a small company called Logilys.
My place of work was located near to the train station and the center of the town of Compiègne. It was a computer reseller. The technicians did computer maintenance for their clients. Most of them are corporates. There were seven employees. Every day, I had to take the car. The journey took about fifteen minutes and then I walked to the company.
I worked in the accounts department which wasn’t very large. There was one people working there and my tutor, Mrs Allavoine, was the accountant. I got on very well with her because she was always available with me. My working hours weren’t varied. In the morning, I started at nine o’clock and I finished at 5.00 pm or 5.30 pm according to the days. I had no breaks as well as the employees during the day. Monday and Friday, my lunch time was from midday to 1.00 pm ; Tuesday and Thursday, from midday to 2.00 pm. There was a kitchen for people who needed to eat at work during the lunch time.
My tasks weren’t very varied. In the morning, I usually registered checks and credit cards. I also checked the monthly payments for the leasing contracts. If we didn’t get payments, I sent mails to the clients in order to recall them. Then, in the afternoon, I often sent mailing to the companies. I occasionally answered the phone which I didn’t like very much. I didn’t stay in the same department because, sometimes, I worked for the sales department. I prepared mails. These mails gave the opportunity to extend the warranty of Logilys computers for an additional year but my tutor was always the accountant. During my training period, I used the computer for the accounting program and the photocopier.
During my work experience, I had a light problem. Sometimes, it happened I hadn’t a lot of work. Despite this problem, I tried to be more autonomous and to find tasks to do. However, I would recommend this firm to another student because the staff was very kind, available, patient and helpful. Moreover, it could be very interesting for students addicted to computers.
I think my training period was very enriching and useful. Theory and practice were two different things. I was able to apply what I learnt at school and I acquired true professional skills.

Sinon, le reste est bon.
Par contre, ça ne se fait pas de mettre comme ça le nom des gens ou des entreprises sur Internet, ils pourraient ne pas apprécier. Pense toujours à remplacer "XYZ" ou "Mme A."

It's crazy how the time just seems to fly
But for a moment you and I, we caught it
It's crazy how the time just seems to fly

eh bien alors :
at nine o’clock (déjà en toutes lettres)
at 5.00 pm or 5.30 pm = at five pm or five thirty pm
midday to 1.00 pm = twelve to one pm
midday to 2.00 pm = twelve to two pm
Mais bon, je te le déconseille, on n'écrit jamais l'heure en toutes lettres.
