I was wondering about the hebrew word in deut 23:18 (it might be 23:17...im not sure)
the translation says something about a harlot and something about a sodomite...another translation i have has both words as temple prostitute.... the hebrew i have says לֹא-תִהְיֶה קְדֵשָׁה, מִבְּנוֹת יִשְׂרָאֵל; וְלֹא-יִהְיֶה קָדֵשׁ, מִבְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל. i was wondering about קְדֵשָׁה and .קָדֵשׁ

Re: deut 23:18
Brown-Drivers-Briggs dictionary says qdesha = female temple prostitute and qadesh = male temple prostitute, both from root q-d-sh = be consecrated, sacred
