C'est une maniere de blessure profonde: taper/mettre dans le mil en francais fait un petit peu leger, et un petit poil familier; frapper au coeur c'est plus joli. Faire mouche c'est vieillot.
Souvent on entend close to the bone pour donner l'idee d'une blessure figuree qui ne guerira pas entierement, qui va laisser des marques, qui touche profondemment.
