10 years ago : Getting ready for high school

5 years ago : I finished my DEUG at university. And if I remember well, I was in the US in summer 2001, teaching French. The first round of a long series, but I didn't know it at that time!

3 years ago : After an awesome year in DK I had a busy summer with two great jobs : hostess in a tourist office, and concert organizer

A year ago : Another amazing summer, working with foreign students

So far this year : Can you believe it? I'm abroad again, teaching French to foreigners again. :)

Yesterday : was my free day. I went to uni anyway to meet some students, my colleagues and prepare classes. I also swam 2 km, played the accordion and chatted with family and friends on MSN and skype.

Today : teaching. And later today I'll go and deliver cat food with a friend (!). Don't ask me why, I have trouble understanding it myself...

Tomorrow : work again. And in the evening I'll go out with some good friends. We want to take salsa classes in a latino club.

I still were in my hometown, working with my parents in our farm and about to start secondary school. Family, school, church, skating and working in the fields: that was my child life.

Just achieved secondary school (in Italy secondary school lasts five years) and got my driving license. I were about to leave home for the first time, moving to Paris. I was very enthusiastic but I confess I were also naive, that’s why this first experience turned bad.

Second time is the charm: I’m studying in France, living in Paris and waiting for friends to come and visit. 2003 summer heat has just begun, I usually have cold bath at home in the day and picnics on the Seine banks in the evening.

Last days in Paris. I’m quitting my job and my flat and I’m rather sad. I’m feeling distressed ’cos I’m moving to Germany and I really don’t know what it will give.

So far this year
Come back to Italy without a penny nor a euro. I’m working for the first time for an Italian employer and I sometimes have to learn how things work in my own country.

Yesterday
There are two Micheles working in our booking department. As per my boss’s wish, I’ve changed my name at work. When I answer the phone I must say: “Attilio speaking, may i help you?”. Cannot say that without giggling inconspicuously.

Today
I'm browsing through Lokanova's threads and I am desperately waiting for autumn, as those summer days are much too hot to me - and nights are hardly better. Tonight I fell like wearing my headphones and playing until late keyboards in my room.

Tomorrow
I'm going to an osteopath after work. Then I am going to see my parents and enjoy a family dinner in the countryside.

Finishing a master and starting a new one.

After 2 years in Laos, signing up for another year.

In Thailand at least, feeling sure I was at the right place, but maybe not so sure about all the rest.

About to go on a trip to Chiang Mai, which will be a milestone in my life, for reasons I can't tell here. :moua:

So far this year
So many things have been happening... and so many things yet to happen... :baby:

Yesterday
Nothing worth mentioning. Just daily routine, but yet pleasant.

Today
Catching up with some work. Will probably go out shooting pool in the evening, one of the moments I like best. :drink:

Tomorrow
Promised the kid we'll take her there if it's not raining. :chiquita:
Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.

10 years ago - it was my last holidays in secondary school. Don't remember anything...

5 years ago - prepared to the worst exam in my studies. If I hadn't passed it, I wouldn't have finished my stuies. But I made it :)

3 years ago - well-deserved holidays after becoming master of law at last :) A week of rowing on lakes.

A year ago - depression... :(

So far this year - broke up with my fiancee, bought an apartment...

Yesterday - tried to survive in heat, eventually fell asleep at 8 and slept till the morning...

Today - trying to survive in an even bigger heat...

Tomorrow - sleep all day and do something at night - still have no idea though..

Hard to say, it's so far away! Probably in Germany visiting my German exchange, just as every year in those times.

I was working in the South of France as a cashier, but since I had just met my boyfriend (who's is now my husband), I let you guess what was my main concern... ;)

I had come back to France after one year in Ukraine and was working as a cashier (again!) during our historical "canicule". But I didn't feel it much because we had air conditioning at my job, and my brother left me his car during the whole summer, a big and beautiful Passat with air conditioner (never showed off as much as during that summer! :sun:)

... I was probably sitting at the same place as today!

So far this year
Been trying hard to find out what I wanted to do in my professional life, still haven't found. Have been travelling to Ukraine again, yeah! :punk:

Yesterday
... er... Once again, I was sitting at the same place, translating all day through! Met up with friends in the evening.

Today
I'm sitting behind my computer again, translating again! And reading lokanova. The boss is off on holiday :D

Tomorrow
I'll be sleeping in the morning (not too late, 9am max), and then... no plans yet!

I was in High school....not very talkative and very shy boy. I was unfortunetly a kind of whipping boy for the others. And I was around 15 years old. Well, not in July but during the year.

I was probably doing some parties after getting my baccalaureat ! :drink:
And I came for the first in Finland with my parents for holidays. That's when I fall in love with that country.

I was doing for the second time my second year of university. And I had my own flat with my girlfriend, it was one of my longest relationship so far

Leaving Finland, after a year...leaving people I liked...leaving the country I love.

So far this year
Since January I spent 10 days in my parents place in France. First I went to Osaka in Japan for a semester at university and then I came here in Finland for my summer time internship.

Yesterday
I was at work, and went to finnish friend place in the evening. I still have headache....but no hangover anymore :P

Today
I'm going to a friend place just after finishing that message. And, yeah I left work at 2'oclock because I was freezing (air condition too cold).

Tomorrow
Hanging around the city with some friends, and going to disco in the evening.

I was in High school....not very talkative and very shy boy. Copyright Crocmiten.
I was really bored by all the courses but History, Geography and Geology.

Finishing my degree in geology at the university, and wondering what I will do the next year. Also worked over summer for the first time, a very fun job, with geology involved of course ;)

Finishing my Master degree in Strasbourg. I had to leave all the friends I met there in two years. Some of them are still my best friends, however we live very far from each other.

Arriving in Canada, and enjoying the winter and the snow. I was amazed how much of english skills I lost since I left high school.

So far this year
I have really started to work on my thesis, and spent three weeks in Finland to collect data. And... I met my girlfriend

Yesterday
I came back home at 4 am after drinking a lot of beer... but I have a good reason: we said goodbye to a Korean friend going back to his country.

Today
It was very hard to wake up (I wonder why? :P ). Trying to find a new place to live in.

Tomorrow
I have to decide where I'll move next week.
In the evening heading to the mountains with some friends for camping and hiking.

I fell quite ill, so I understandably don't really want to dwell on this topic...

I'd just completed my DEUG (two-year degree) in applied language studies. I spent six wonderful weeks in Moscow (there were cockroaches everywhere in my room though, yuk)! I also spent some time in Poland, Lithuania and Latvia before leaving for Finland.

I'd just spent two academic years in Finland and passed the entrance exam to ESIT (the Paris interpreting school). I worked as a technical translator for a Finnish company in Tampere. My boyfriend had a summer job as a journalist in Oulu, so I went up north to visit him every weekend! We both worked very hard throughout the summer, so we took a week off to go to Cyprus, a well deserved holiday!

I worked at the University of Helsinki and continued practising consecutive and simultaneous interpretation. I also went to Madeira, the most beautiful place I've visited so far.

So far this year
Things have been going well! I graduated in June, I'm now a fully-fledged conference interpreter! I've also travelled quite a lot. Hopefully things will keep up like this!

Yesterday
I made a very nice risotto and moelleux au chocolat au coeur fondant with home-made custard for dinner.

Today
I had lunch in a Japanese restaurant with my "in-laws". Right now I'm watching the Tour de France time trial, and tonight I'm meeting some friends downtown.

Tomorrow
I'm buying tickets to the IAAF Helsinki Grand Prix Meeting. :)

Just turned 11 years old. I suppose I was on holiday from secondary school, although I do not recall too vividly.

Just received my drivers license, and we ready to enjoy my newfound freedom.

On holiday in Peru. I fell in love with Cusco and Machu Picchu, and all the country and culture has to offer.

Taking care of nine girls as a camp counselor. An amazing yet difficult three months.

So far this year
Alot of college classes, resulting in a lack of social life. Church and School sums it up.

Yesterday
Visited with a friend returned from Africa, and went to class.

Today
At work for far too long doing far too little. Then, straight to class again!

Tomorrow
Enjoy the warm weather, do some studying, and then off to class!
