Post by c_angel »

Hi all, I'm looking for a translation from english to itailian for a tat I'd like to get. The phrase I'm looking to translate would be 'My beautiful life'. Any help would be much appreciated :)

In which context are you using this sentence? Most generally, you could say "la mia bella vita" but changing the word order and using (or not using) the definite article can produce different effects (bella vita mia or vita mia bella are possible variants, this latter expression being in poetical use only, while bella vita mia may be both an exclamation or a petname).

I'm using this phrase as a statement. The statement is that my life is beautiful - I want the tattoo to be a visual reminder of that. Does that help? :)

Then keep the first proposition: La mia bella vita (or È bella la mia vita, if you prefer a complete sentence, which in Italian would be more understandable ;) ).
