Arabaic/Latin Assistance Please

Hi All,

I was wondering if any Latin or Arabaic speakers could help me translate the phrase- 'Lord Give Me Strength' into either of the languages.

I will be extremely greatful for any help.

You did not put an -s to "give". Must I understand it is a subjonctive ? = "Let the Lord give..." ? Or have you juste forgotten the -s ?

Latin :

Dominus mihi vim dat [indicative] / det [subjonctive]

or better :

Dominus mihi vires dat / det (= strengthes, more idiomatic).

I think the tense used in that sentence is the imperative

"Lord give me strenght" would mean in french, "Dieu, donne moi la force"

"Lord gives me strenght" -> "Dieu me donne la force" (in this case, i think you would need to add an article: the Lord gives me strength)

So, as a call to the Lord, the Latin would be different: Domine da mihi vim (or: vires)

. I did mean it as a call, so without the 's' to give.

So in this case would the bottom translation be correct?

OK ! Without a "s" but[/b] with a comma ! In such a case, Olivier's answer is correct.
