A little phonetic transcription from Russian to English

I had the crasy idea to write a little story in English (for my own fun) where one of the characters speaks Russian... Someone (Didine, thanks) on the French Forum already translated the sentences in Russian, but nobody answered yet for the prunounciation. Can you help me, please?

Sergei, it’s me, Sarah. I’m here with your brother.
Сергей, это я, Сара. Я здесь с твоим братом.

My brother?
С моим братом?

Sergei, please, don’t move. You are at the hospital. You need some rest, so Peter and I will leave you alone for a moment.
Сергей, не двигайся, пожалуйста. Ты в больнице. Тебе надо отдохнуть, поэтому мы с Петром пока оставим тебя одного.

So, Sarah, my brother finally asked you to marry him?
Ну Сара, мой брат наконец попросил твою руку?

No, not yet. I have to go. See you later.
Нет, ещё нет. Мне надо уйти. Пока.

I put the original text and the translation. I believe everything is okay, but I don't understand a word in Russian... I hope someone could help me!

Hi,
as a native speaker, I should say that there are a couple of mistakes. stylitical as well as punctuation ones. unfortunately, I do not have cyrillic on this computer but as soon as can get to it I'll write my version of the things I find worth improving.

now the changes i have been talking about...

Ñåðãåé, ýòî ÿ, Ñàðà. ß çäåñü ñ òâîèì áðàòîì.

here, just a punctuation mistake....if you leave 2 commas, then it means that you address twice....which is not the case - obviously Sarah does not address herself - so....."Sergei, it's me - Sarah" the same goes to the Russian variant.

So, Sarah, my brother finally asked you to marry him?
Íó Ñàðà, ìîé áðàò íàêîíåö ïîïðîñèë òâîþ ðóêó?

we are talking about marrying so it should go like this -
...ìîé áðàò íàêoíåö ïîïðîñèë òâîåé ðóêè?

No, not yet. I have to go. See you later.
Íåò, åù¸ íåò. Ìíå íàäî óéòè. Ïîêà.

...ìíå íàäî èäòè - is more appropriate in this context.
"óéòè" means like...leave forever...never ever come back or something...


as to the phonetic transcription...if you have any idea how that might be done....i mean of course it is possible to write it all out in latin letters....but would that be of any help...meaning that you still have to know how to pronounce the words... in any case if that would help you - drop a line.

Beware, that was not a phonetic (pronunciation) trancription but a literal one = letter by letter. Russian is like English, unstressed vowels are modified.

I would not suggest to rely on the provided letter by letter transcription....it has quite a number of mistakes.....

PS. and i do not really see how this can be helpful.....Olivier is right...but besides vowels there are also consonants which are not usual in the English language and therefore can create trouble...
