I need one Czech word

Post by kacfus »

I need a Czech word that will go on a memorial window in a garden marking the one year anniversary of the death of my father-in-law. I want it to be a surprise for my husband. I was thinking: Family or Serenity. Can anyone translate that into Czech or give me another word to use. Thanks

"rodina" for "family" is okay, but "klid" is more like "quietness", like when there's no noise...i'd tend to put rather "pokoj" or eventually "poklid"
You may feel alone when you’re falling asleep
And every time tears roll down your cheeks
But I know your heart belongs to someone you’ve yet to meet
Someday you will be loved

I proposed Klid in respect to the dedicace and the expression posmrtný klid (quietness/serenity of somebody who is dead).
