Perhaps it was from the word ανάγνωση that means reading.

That word does exist un
ancient greek. It is the 3rd person of active aoriste of άναγιγνώσκω. Therefore, that word means :
1. he knows
or he knew wholly
2. he reads/he read (past)
3. he recognizes/he recognized
But it seems to be strange that someone could send an e-mail in
ancient greek.
