I checked with my boyfriend, I ya qda, but unfortunatly he told this to me and I don't know the exact writing so I have to write it with latin letters (no time to search, maybe you'll check it ?)

1- кop. aнглія : it's probably abbreviated + it means 'Kingdom of England' (maybe there's no other word in Ukrainian ?)

this is almost like Russian : "korolevstvo"
they also have "Velikobritaniya" in Ukrainian

2- германський : this looks like the adjective ('German')

"germanskiy" means German in the old meaning of the word ("germain" in French). German is almost like in Russian : something like "nimitskiy". The difference is for the the country. Whereas Russians say "Germania", Ukrainians say something like "Nimstia". Logically !!! That where you can see that Ukrainian has much less European words in its vocabulary

C'est amusant dans plusieurs langues, Biélorussie est traduit littéralement par "Russie blanche", Weissrussland en allemand par exemple. vous savez d'où ca vient?

ahhhhhhhhhhh alors c'est la biellorussie qu'on appelle Hvíta-Rússland (Russie blanche donc...) en Islandais !!!! J'ai déjà vu ça mais je pensait que c'était une région de la russie un ou un truc comme ça, c'est bizzare pourtant sur une carte en islandais que j'ai c'est écrit Belarus peut être qu'ils ont les deux ou alors je me plante sur un des deux...

La Biélorussie a changé officiellement son nom en Belarus il y a quelques années sans doute pour s'éloigner de la Russie, au moins par le nom. Du coup, beaucoup de langues ont conservé l'ancienne appellation et ont adopté Belarus sans le "traduire". Sur les cartes françaises, c'est pareil. Tu trouveras une fois Biélorussie et une fois Belarus.
