Dear Sirs,
I once heard a Swahili proverb that in English says something like this:
"The prayer of the chicken hawk will not yield the hawk the chicken."
I assume this proverb means that no matter how much one desires something in one's mind or heart, one will not obtain it unless work is done to obtain it.
Are you familiar with this proverb? Can someone please translate the proverb from English to Swahili. Thank you.
