I'm no native speaker but I'd say the following :

Sehr geehrter Herr Professor, (be careful : if he's a professor or a doctor is not the same, you have to mention the right one !)

ich danke Ihnen für Ihre Briefe über meine Arbeitsdiplom. (don't you rather speak about "Diplomarbeit" ?)
Ich warte auf Ihr Urteil darüber.
Mit freundlichen Grüssen, (Germans don't use "viele Gruesse" or at least not in an official context like this one)
