English into Latin

Post by Pamela. »

It's my first wedding anniversary this weekend and I've got my husband a silver post it note holder (paper) but want to have it engraved with something in Latin. Maybe 'One year (down/done/past/over), many more (to come/ to go/ in the future). Or just something nice in Latin that would be relevant to a first wedding anniversary - suggestions welcome.

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give.

:) I Suggest :

Unus annus nunc praeteriit, veniant jam multi...
(One year has gone now, let come many others one hence)

Or shorter and, I hope so, more idiomatic (but a little more obscure) :

Nunc unus praeteritus, jam multi venturi !

PS : you do not need to send a PM in such situation, I could receive it only when I come to this website (which I do regularly), and I ever read every forum (french, english, spanish etc.).

PPS : I hope I have not fallen behind with your request.

PPPS : ;) Congratulations...
