to lokanove / lokanoved / lokanoven

Post by ANTHOS »

by analogy with the verb 'to google', i wonder how long it will take before the verb 'to lokanove' becomes widespread - it's only a matter of time...

To me it means to seek information on the Lokanova forum

Feasibly, with modern technology, if you were in a restaurant in Naples where no one spoke English and had an Internet-enabled PDA, you could submit a question for a translation and then know how to order your favourite dish or dessert, then compliment the chef.... :P

Small correction:
"where did you lokanove?"

To me it would mean posting anything on lokanova, participating in one way or another, not only seeking information. :)

Already 5 posts on a word that doesn't exist yet. Wow ! ;)

Weapons of mass distruction in Iraq...
Democracy in Eastern Europe...

But still, people have been lokanoving for more than two years now.
And freelanging for more than seven years!
And this is a reality!

:loljump: How funny it is. Well, let's try in "my" languages :

latin : lokanovare

ancient greek : λοκανωβίζω [lokanobidzô]
(problem is that the sound [v] does not exist in ancien greek)

esperanto :
lokanovi
lokanovadi "to be perpetually on L."
lokanovmembri "to be a member of L."
lokanovigxi or lokanovmembrigxi "to become member of L."

Romanian: a locanova [stess on the last syllable]
Portuguese: locanovar [as above]
Swedish: att lokanova [this will be a first group verb: Jag lokanovar / lokanovade / har lokanovat]
Norwegian: å lokanove
Modern Greek: λοκανοβίζω [lokanovízo]

... not to mention that a whole lexical family can be created around this word. Such as:

lokanovology - the science of lokanoving
lokanophilia / lokanophobia = hmmm, what could that be?
lokanomania & lokanomaniacs = us and our disease...
lokanometry & lokanostatistics = the sciences of measuring the lokanoactivity
to underokanove / overlokanove / counterlokanove / paralokanove = ???
lokanobate = a debate on lokanova
lokanoaddiction / lokanoaddict = see lokanomania & lokanomaniacs above...
to lokanovise = to promote lokanova
lokanovised = instructed / educated in the science of lokanoving
unlokanovised = uninstructed / uneducated in the science of lokanoving...
lokanophysics / lokanochemistry / lokanomechanics = ?? help!
lokanopoetry / lokanopainting = hmmm, is getting more and more difficult to explain these words; I haven't found them in the dictionary...
lokanophone / lokanocamera = that's food for thought for Latinus, what improvements he will bring to this site...

and the list can continue...
