I am looking for a translation of the following from the Athar Veda(verse 5244-5246) I have transliterated the orginal Sanskrit as follows:
Indro Degicho Astra-Bhavam Traniya-Prati-shkata Jagaan Navnitanam
Ishnashwashya Jasheshra Prateshtav-Pratishatam tadi-dhashya-nawant
Ahatra Gore-maneyat naam Tavyut-prashitam Ishta Chandramusa greha
I have found in Mr. Devi Chand's translation which was published by Munshiram Manoharlal Publishers, New Delhi and which is also referenced by Stephen Knapps books, the following translation.
The atomic energy fissions the ninety nine elements, covering it's path by the bombardment of neutrons without let or hindrance(5244)
Desirous of striking the head i.e. the chief head of the swift power, hidden in the mass of molecular adjustments of the elements, the atomic energy approaches it in the very act of fissioning by the above noted bombardments.(5245)
Herein verily the scientists know the similar hidden striking force of the rays of the sun working in the orbit of the moon.(5246)
Here is a photocopy of the verse, including original Sanskrit and translation:

I would appreciate a quick response. I have asked this same question on several specialized Sanskrit forums and have not been given a response. I personally am very skeptical of the translation.
