And I use it to try this survey-thing:
P.S.: What's the name of Pippi Långstrump in your mother tongue?

Yes! Astrid Lindgren was a Swedish author of children's books. Pippi Långstrump, the girl with the red hair on the picture, was one of her characters. She's the strongest girl in the world (that's why she can carry her horse "Lilla Gubben" on her hands!kokoyaya wrote:Could you give us some more details on who they are?

There are three Pippi books in total. And I love all of them!

Thanks so much, Serenitaserenita wrote:I know! It's "Fifi Brindacier" in french!

What does Brindacier mean in English? Långstrump means "long sock" or "long stocking" in English.

Ohhh, thank you, Demona!!Demona wrote:Пеппи Длинныйчулок
and that is not the best book by the author
I don't think it's her best book either! My favourite one is Ronja Rövardotter which is Ronia the Robber's daughter in English, I think. It's really one of my favourite books allthough it's a children's book

I've heard that Karlsson på taket (I'm not sure about the English title.... maybe "Karlsson on the roof"?) is very popular in Russia, isn't it?
See you!

I've found a picture!
Congrats on finding a picture! I still haven't found one.
I think I'll go with a Japanese flag. I'm not sure, though. Anyway, yes, I've heard of Pippi Longstockings, as she is called here, and I think Ronja Rövardotter would be a better choice if you like it better. You know, be true to your heart. :-) Well, that's just my humble opinion, let me know what you choose.
Ja ne,
Serena

Well, I like the Ronja-book much better, but I really want a Pippi-picture for me because I'm just feeling so Pippi-ish at the momentI think Ronja Rövardotter would be a better choice if you like it better. See you, Serena!

I found a picture!
Her name is Pippi Longstocking in the States. Almost every American child born between 1973 and 1979 will remember seeing the Pippi Longstocking movie in the mid-eighties. A cute and fanciful movie about the skinny little redhead with the gravity defying braids in her hair.
