Yes! Astrid Lindgren was a Swedish author of children's books. Pippi Långstrump, the girl with the red hair on the picture, was one of her characters. She's the strongest girl in the world (that's why she can carry her horse "Lilla Gubben" on her hands! :)

There are three Pippi books in total. And I love all of them!

Thanks so much, Serenita :)

What does Brindacier mean in English? Långstrump means "long sock" or "long stocking" in English. :loljump:

"Brin d'acier" is "steel twig" in english: this character was named that way in french because she's as thin as a twig but as strong as steel!
As we can see on your picture...(nice one!) ;)

Ohhh, thank you, Demona!!

I don't think it's her best book either! My favourite one is Ronja Rövardotter which is Ronia the Robber's daughter in English, I think. It's really one of my favourite books allthough it's a children's book :)

I've heard that Karlsson på taket (I'm not sure about the English title.... maybe "Karlsson on the roof"?) is very popular in Russia, isn't it?

See you!

Congrats on finding a picture! I still haven't found one. ;) I think I'll go with a Japanese flag. I'm not sure, though. Anyway, yes, I've heard of Pippi Longstockings, as she is called here, and I think Ronja Rövardotter would be a better choice if you like it better. You know, be true to your heart. :-) Well, that's just my humble opinion, let me know what you choose.

Well, I like the Ronja-book much better, but I really want a Pippi-picture for me because I'm just feeling so Pippi-ish at the moment :chiquita: :loljump: :chiquita: - if you know what I mean!

See you, Serena!

Her name is Pippi Longstocking in the States. Almost every American child born between 1973 and 1979 will remember seeing the Pippi Longstocking movie in the mid-eighties. A cute and fanciful movie about the skinny little redhead with the gravity defying braids in her hair.
